The ease of transacting online, whether buying or selling activities, sometimes makes users neglect the dangers that threaten them. Namely, cyber crime. In fact, in this increasingly digital era, the modes of fraud and cyber crime are increasingly diverse and dangerous. Without proper knowledge about these types of crimes, UMKM actors are vulnerable to becoming victims.

To provide understanding about safe online transactions to UMKM actors, idEA together with Google Indonesia and ICT Watch have been regularly holding Cyber ​​Security Webinars for UMKM since 2021. In each session, UMKM actors who were present as participants had the opportunity to be directly mentored by Trainers from ICT Watch regarding the types of digital fraud and how to prevent them. The guidance process is carried out in several small groups with breakout rooms, so that the delivery of information becomes more interactive and maximal. In addition, selected participants also have the opportunity to get rewards for their activeness and understanding of the material provided.

It is hoped that this activity can help so that more and more UMKM are digitally literate. Thus, transactions that take place become safer and more profitable, both for UMKM actors and consumers.
